Shawna Peterkin

With more than two decades of paralegal work experience, Shawna is a valuable resource to Gallagher’s Renewable Energy practice group and its clients.

Prior to joining Gallagher, Shawna worked at an Am Law 100 firm where she supported attorneys representing lenders, developers, and investors in the closing of multifamily HUD projects, including RAD and Low-Income Housing Tax Credit transactions. She has notable experience with the documentation of commercial and residential real-estate transactions, including real-estate secured business loans, and has worked as a business and financial services paralegal, assisting with the closing of complex transactions. After migrating from New York City, Shawna served as the Loan Documentation Team Lead for a Maryland-chartered commercial bank, with responsibilities including the documentation of commercial and residential loans and directly liaising with outside counsel, before returning to the legal sector.

Shawna has a passion for the arts and loves absorbing as much creativity as possible by visiting libraries, museums, and theaters. She is also a cooking enthusiast, and enjoys recreating cuisine from around the world, as authentically as possible, and sharing it with others.
