Gallagher LLP and the Franciscan Center of Baltimore have announced an expanded partnership, enabling the Center to further its mission through the renovation of the kitchen and serving line at its main campus in the Old Goucher neighborhood of Baltimore.
This new support, stemming from the distribution of cy pres funds following a recent court settlement, will equip the Franciscan Center with the resources necessary to retrofit the electrical infrastructure in its food service facilities, upgrade equipment and appliances, and carry out various quality-of-life updates to the space.

The work it made possible is critical to our ability to provide more than a thousand nutritious, good-tasting meals daily to our guests and clients. This gift goes right to the heart of our mission,” said Jeffrey Griffin, executive director at the Franciscan Center.
Gallagher and the Franciscan Center have a longstanding partnership, including recurring volunteering, support of annual fundraisers, and advisory roles at the organization. The firm is proud to support the Center’s belief that everyone deserves access to wellness, dignity, and joy, regardless of their circumstances.

In recognition of Gallagher’s longstanding commitment to the Franciscan Center, the kitchen and serving line will be named Gallagher’s Café. An event and ribbon cutting ceremony to celebrate this development will be held on June 17.
