With four decades of experience working across the real estate sector, Lissette Klaus leverages her background to assist investors and developers with affordable housing and historic tax credit transactions.
As part of her role, Lissette reviews title searches, title exceptions, legal descriptions, title commitments, title policies, surveys, plats, site plans, zoning documents, and judgment searches. She further facilitates real estate transactions by reviewing organizational documents and resolutions, maintaining closing checklists, hosting due diligence meetings, and reviewing completed loan and closing documents. Lissette’s certification as a Title Insurance Producer from the Maryland Insurance Administration enables her to conduct residential and commercial real estate closings.
Prior to joining Gallagher, Lissette worked at multiple title insurance agencies and law firms where she maintained commercial escrow accounts, prepared closing documents for residential and commercial real estate transactions, and prepared Federal National Mortgage Association (FNMA), Federal Home Loan Mortgage Corporation (FHLMC), Housing and Urban Development (HUD), and Small Business Administration (SBA) loan documents.
